train's blowin its horn at 320am

Alison took the family photos with her to Baltimore so I don't have the access I had before. Not that I really took advantage of it too often anyway. I'm not the best at keeping up with things. I was going to take them with me to Columbia but she stepped in and said she wanted them. I kind of wish I still had them as it was the main source of material for this blog. I do get a chuckle thinking of how she now has the titles for both my Mom and Dad's cars (They were in with the documents to be scanned).

Alison, with your down time this month would you organize those photos and get them scanned one way or another? And no bogarting the photos for your blog. Don't steal my sunshine!

Columbia is a pretty serene place. It's a small town with some city sensibilities. I hear train horns at all hours and the crickets go crazy at night. The heat has been manageable but I've been told the worst is yet to come. The apartment feels like home and is steadily getting cozier as I add more furniture. Future Cat is a good roommate. He's taken on the roll of bug killer and I help with the clean up afterwards. We're not a bad team.

I've got my first official visitors lined up for this weekend and no idea of how to entertain them other than my home theater set up. What's this thing you call the nightlife?

I think you've seen enough Wire episodes to know that depthless bottle-passing near moving trains is a perfectly good way to spend an evening. And you've got trains there.
